For a second year we present an evening with three Poets Laureate from across the East Of England.

An evening of Fenfolk and Folklore, featuring: Peter Irving (Peterborough Laureate); Teresa McLean (Stamford Laureate) and Poppy Kleiser (Fenland Laureate).
Despite having a degree in Ecology, Peter remains an optimist and is committed to the promotion of the Spoken Arts, Peterborough and its citizens. ‘Hits you like a drunken sumo wrestler!’ University Press
Her other passion is traditional song and she strongly believes poems are songs that carry their own silent music. Lived for a while in Peterborough, where Teresa’s two youngest children were born, and now once again lives in the flat lands where you can see, if not forever, far enough to capture a poem.
She is passionate about the Romantic Poets, conserving the countryside and thinks the Fens is one of the most atmospheric places to live in the world.
