Much in demand as a soloist and accompanist, Richard Allum read Music at Durham University, where he was Senior Organ Scholar at University College. He studied piano with Barry Maleham and graduated in 2009 with one of the highest Final Recital marks in the music department’s history. He has since become a Licentiate of Trinity College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Royal Schools of Music. A prize-winner in several competitions, including First Prize in the 2008 EPTA Piano Competition, Richard has performed throughout the UK and in Europe, and made his Australian debut in 2014 at Melbourne Cathedral. He is presently Assistant Director of Music at Westbourne House School in Chichester, West Sussex.
